Library book discussion groups announced for month

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will continue online book discussion groups throughout November.

Participants must register at nols.org to receive the link to the free Zoom meetings.

• The Second Tuesday Book Discussion Group will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 to discuss “Convenience Store Woman” by Sayaka Murata.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

In December the group will discuss “The Overstory” by Richard Powers.

• The Second Saturday Book Discussion Group will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, to discuss “Tangerine” by Christine Mangan.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group will discuss “Mozart’s Starling” By Lyanda Lynn Haupt in December.

• The Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group is set to meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, to talk about “My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry” by Fredrik Backman.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group plans to discuss “The Friend” by Sigrid Nunez in December.

• The Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, to discuss “Harry’s Trees” by Joe Cohen.

Paperback copies are available for curbside pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

Their December selection is “The Home Place: Memoirs of a Colored Man’s Love Affair With Nature” by J. Drew Lanham.
