The flying bird won’t be soaring out of Lake Union today as planned, but may depart for its new home of Neah Bay by midweek.
Kalakala ferry owner Steve Rodrigues said everybody involved in the move is on standby as he finalizes some regulatory issues that will clear the way for the trip.
“It’s really disappointing, I’m sorry to say,” Rodrigues said by phone Saturday evening after canceling the planned departure of the ferry today from Lake Union in Seattle.
He anticipates resolving the issues on Monday, with departure possible by Tuesday morning or later.
