JOYCE — Tuesday is the deadline to mail or drop off ballots for the Crescent School District maintenance and operations levy election. Ballots for the four-year levy were mailed to voters April 30.
A total of 775 ballots, or 49 percent of the 1,578 issued, had been returned by early Friday afternoon, according to officials in the Clallam County Auditor’s Office.
The dropbox in the circular driveway of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, is available until 8 p.m. Tuesday for voters to drop off their ballots.
Ballots that are mailed must be postmarked before the post office closes Tuesday.
The proposed four-year levy total of $1,011,548 is nearly $100,000 more than what has been collected during the past four years.
