High notes
■ On Saturday, it’s worth the drive to Linger Longer Outdoor Theater, 151 Columbia St., Quilcene, for popular dance band The Better Half, performing from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Opening the show will be Port Townsend’s up-and-coming young rock band Band Lab. These middle and high school students have been playing together for three years. $15 general admission; $10 for students 18 and younger; 2013 graduates with student ID and kids younger than 12 get in free.
■ Feeling groovy? On Sunday, the Sequim City Band celebrates the ’60s in another Decade of Music honoring Sequim’s centennial in its second outdoor concert at the James Center for the Performing Arts at 3 p.m. Sharing the stage will be the Olympic Wind Ensemble.
■ On Saturday at the Dry Creek Grange, 3130 W. Edgewood Drive, the Port Angeles bands Serendipity and High Country play for the community dance from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
■ On Saturday at Sequim Open Aire Market on Cedar Street between Second and Sequim avenues, the Winding River Band performs a blend of bluegrass and country from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
■ On Saturday, Chuck Grall will play old-time country at The Landing mall, 115 E. Railroad Ave., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the flea market.
