HOW PROPHETIC WAS that cabin fever call I made last week?

Maybe I can help.

Port Angeles

■ On Saturday at the Junction Roadhouse, junction of U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 112 five miles west of Port Angeles, one of the most in-demand and honored Northwest blues acts, Sammy Eubanks, expounds on his feeling for the blues with his award-winning blues band. Boogie to the blues from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Cover.

All Points Charters & Tours provide free transportation to and from the Junction for this one, so phone 360-775-9128 to set up your pickup starting at 8 p.m.

On Tuesday, Ches Ferguson stops by for some picking and grinning at 7 p.m.

■ Tonight at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, come on down for Jerry’s Country Jam from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

■ On Friday at Wine on the Waterfront, 115 Railroad Ave., it’s all about Twisted Roots. Two members of the former West End band Mossback Ramblers, Marty Kaler and Bob Lawrence-Markarian, form the acoustic duo. Show starts at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, SuperTrees plays its rhythm-driven, rock ‘n’ roll-infused funk, soul and reggae to get you moving and grooving at 8 p.m. The band is Steve Koehler, guitar/vocals; Dan Lieberman, lead guitar/vocals; Rudy Maxion, bass/vocals; and Declan Wescott, percussion/vocals. $3 cover.

This Sunday’s “Music in the Bar” features harpist John Manino at 3 p.m.

■ The CornStalks are making quite a splash around town, and Sunday, they’re splashing for free at the Next Door Gastropub, 113 W. First St., in a “pickin’ on Sundays” program. Kim, Stephanie and Paul hope to see you there.

■ On Friday, Les Wamboldt and Olde Tyme Country perform at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Stop in Sunday for a great jam from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Dave and Rosalie Secord and the Luck of the Draw Band play old-time music with guests Kelly and Barry singing the songs of country’s Golden Age for an old-fashioned good old time from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

■ Every Tuesday evening at the Port Angeles Senior Center, Seventh and Peabody streets, the Port Angeles Senior Swingers present Wally and the Boys playing ballroom dance favorites from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover, first-timers free.

■ On Wednesday at Dupuis Restaurant, 256861 U.S. Highway 101, Bob and Dave play blues with a brew and barbecue from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sequim and Blyn

■ On Friday at the Oasis Bar and Grill, 301 E. Washington St., the Old Sidekicks will be picking and grinning its way through a long list of country classics at 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Moderately Loud Rock rocks at 8 p.m.

On Wednesday, the Blue Hole Quartet plays a variety of jazz-influenced tunes for dancing and listening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

■ At The Buzz, 128 N. Sequim Ave., Kelly Thomas and Victor Reventlow host the very popular and rousing open mic Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

■ On Friday at Stymie’s Bar & Grill at Cedars at Dungeness, 1965 Woodcock Road, the Al Harris Trio will jazz up your dinner or libations from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

■ On Friday at Club Seven Lounge at 7 Cedars Casino, Blyn, Jenny Davis and friends entertain with jazz-influenced songs from the Great American Songbook in Jenny’s commanding style from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

On Saturday, dance to The Moves with all the newer dance hits from 9 p.m. to 1 p.m.

On Sunday, get your ears tuned up and your dancing feet collected for the Stardust Big Band in an evening of swinging and swaying from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On Monday, We Be Jammin’ with hosts Barry Burnett and Tom Svornich returns for more jamming fun from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Port Townsend

■ Tonight at The Upstage, 923 Washington St., Matt Sircely hosts a night of song with award-winning singer/songwriter Ash Devine at 8 p.m. They’ll alternate sets and have some special guests, too, for an unforgettable night of song starting at 8 p.m. Sliding scale cover from $4 to $7.

On Friday, blues legend Kurt Fletcher, with Kevin Selfe and the Tornadoes, performs starting at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, enjoy the jazz of Carla Main with the Herb Payson Quartet starting at 6:30 p.m. $7 cover.

On Wednesday, catch Steve Grandinetti on piano starting at 5 p.m., followed by the Steve Grandinetti Band. $5 voluntary donation.

■ On Friday at Sirens Pub, 823 Water St., Lloyd Mitchell Canyon plays original songs starting at 10 p.m. $5 cover.

On Saturday, have a good time with Sassparilla at 10 p.m. This five-piece group delivers good-time, feeling-good music on a mixture of a cigar box guitar, National resonator guitar, harmonica, washtub, bass, accordion, washboard and drums. $5 cover.

■ Buck Ellard is playing a dinner show Friday at the Highway 20 Road House, 2510 Sims Way, with country covers and original tunes with guitar and fiddle from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

■ On Saturday at the Uptown Pub, 1016 Lawrence St., The Solvents and two guest bands from Portland, Ore., play starting at 9 p.m.

■ Steve Grandinetti plays guitar at the Owl Sprit Cafe, 218 Polk St., today and Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

■ Today, classical guitarist Trevor Hanson plays at Ichikawa Japanese Cuisine, 1208 Water St., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

■ Every Monday Trevor Hanson plays guitar at Alchemy, 842 Washington St., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

■ Steve Grandinetti plays and sings at the Northwest Maritime Center Cafe, Port Townsend, on Thursdays and Fridays from noon till 2 p.m.

High notes

■ On Saturday, the 10th annual Snowgrass Bluegrass Concert for the First Step Family Support Center takes off. The concert is at the Port Angeles High School auditorium, 304 E. Park Ave., at 6 p.m.

The lineup includes Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys, Crescent Blue, the Old Sidekicks and Rocky Island Bluegrass.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door and $7 for seniors, with 10 and younger admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at First Step, KONP, Strait Music, Odyssey Books, Port Book and News, Renaissance and Necessities and Temptations in Port Angeles; in Sequim at Pacific Mist Books; and in Forks at the Forks Outfitters.

■ On Friday, the eighth annual Strange Brewfest takes place at the American Legion Hall, 209 Monroe St., Port Townsend, and continues through Sunday.

On Friday, Lowire performs at 7 p.m., with the Better Half playing at 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme play at 3 p.m., Lucky Brown and the Bucks plays at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Polyrhythmics at 9 p.m.

On Sunday, Tapwater closes out at 2 p.m.

■ On Saturday, Washington Old Time Fiddlers play live music at the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road, Chimicum.
