PORT TOWNSEND — The man accused of the 1992 stabbing death of a Quilcene girl will be tried Feb. 21 by a Jefferson County Superior Court judge.
Lawyers will present oral arguments that day in the case of Robert H. Froehlich, 29, who is charged with stabbing 15-year-old Allison Tornensis to death and dumping her body in the Quilcene River.
Arguments, expected to last only part of the day, will take place in front of Jefferson County Superior Court Judge Tom Majhan starting at 2 p.m.
Majhan will be the sole arbiter of Froehlich’s innocence or guilt — Froehlich agreed to a bench trial last month, waiving his right to a jury trial.
No witness testimony will be heard during the trial.
Defense and prosecuting attorneys are to submit their evidence to Majhan by Feb. 15.
