PORT HADLOCK — Jefferson County Sheriff Mike Brasfield has been appointed to serve on the board of a state organization designed to improve communication among police agencies.
Brasfield will sit on the controlling board of Homicide Investigation Tracking System, which is led by John H. Turner, chief criminal investigator for the state Attorney General’s Office.
The Homicide Investigation Tracking System was devised in 1987 in response to the need for improved communication arising from investigations into the Green River killings and serial killer Ted Bundy.
