Jefferson: Rodgers to run for District 3 commissioner again

BRINNON — Republican Pat Rodgers announced Thursday night that he will seek election as Jefferson County commissioner for a second time in less than a year.

Rodgers was the GOP nominee in last November’s general election, losing to Democrat Wendi Wrinkle of Shine by 543 votes.

Wrinkle resigned as District 3 county commissioner effective last month, citing health problems.

Mark Rose of Brinnon is the only Democrat who has announced candidacy for the three years remaining on Wrinkle’s unexpired term.

District 3 covers the southern and western parts of the county along with Gardiner.
