The Jefferson County Public Health Department will convene a series of work group meetings to review options to fulfill requirements for monitoring on-site sewage systems.
The first meeting is at the Chimacum Grange, 9572 Rhody Drive, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Members of the group will review the approaches used in other counties and give input.
The group will consider a component that enables homeowners to conduct some of their own inspections as well as the educational and training needs required to make this option successful.
All work group meetings are open to the public and will include a comment period.
Agendas and meeting summaries along with meeting materials will be available on the Jefferson County Public Health website at www.jeffersoncountypublichealth.org.
All meetings will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
