PORT TOWNSEND — The next step in hiring a permanent Jefferson County administrator is expected to be taken this week, in an effort to fill the position by year’s end.
Dennis Richards, the county’s interim administrator — who is assisting in the search — said that the administrator position’s profile could be drawn up as early as today, so that Seattle-based executive search firm Prothman consultants can advertise the job next week.
While the county commissioners have not yet given him a salary figure for the position, Richards said, he recommends a salary range of between $90,000 and $120,000.
John Fischbach, who resigned as county administrator Feb. 15, was making $89,000 a year, plus a monthly $360 car allowance.
