Jefferson County government offers Facebook page

PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County government officials now have an official Facebook page where information about the county will be shared.

In a press release, Mark McCauley, county Central Services director, said the page will help distribute time-sensitive and emergency information quickly to the public.

“We want to be transparent and accessible and provide a way for the public to explore its county government,” McCauley said.

The Facebook page can be found at www.facebook.com/jeffcowagov or by searching “Jefferson County, Wa Government” in Facebook’s search feature.

The Jefferson County website at www.co.jefferson.wa.us will still remain the county’s primary internet presence.
