PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School District has announced that Jeff Lunt has been named as interim principal at Franklin Elementary School.
Lunt has been the assistant principal at Port Angeles High School since 2014, he was a teacher with the district for 10 years prior to that.
Superintendent Marty Brewer said of Lunt, “Most of his teaching experience prior to and during his time in PASD has been at the elementary level, and this will serve him well in this new assignment.”
Lunt is replacing Amity Butler who recently accepted a position as director of accelerated models and programs at the Northshore School District in Bothell.
Butler worked for the district since 1994 and was the principal at Franklin since 2010.
