Jane Childers and members of Girl Scout Troop 648 will ride public transit buses from Port Angeles to Seaside, Ore., today.
The trip on U.S. 101 should last about 13 hours and cost $5.85 for an adult and less for a child.
Here is their itinerary, with the prices reflecting adult fares:
* 5:20 a.m. — Depart Port Angeles on Clallam Transit Route 14 to Forks, arriving at 6:35 a.m. Cost: $1.25.
* 6:50 a.m. — Depart Forks on West Jefferson Transit (no route number) to Quinault, arriving at 8:50 a.m. Cost: 50 cents.
* 9:05 a.m. — Depart Quinault on Grays Harbor Route 60 to Aberdeen, arriving at 10:25 a.m. Cost: 50 cents.
* 1 p.m. — Depart Aberdeen on Pacific Transit Route 14 to Raymond, arriving at 1:50 p.m. Cost: 50 cents.
* 3:55 p.m. — Depart Raymond on Pacific Transit Route 32 to Naselle/South Bend, arriving at 5 p.m. Cost: 35 cents.
* 5 p.m. — Depart Naselle/South Bend on Pacific Transit Route 50 to Astoria, Ore., arriving at 5:20 p.m. Cost: 50 cents.
* 6:10 p.m. — Depart Astoria on Sunset Transit Route 101 to Seaside, Ore., arriving at 6:43 p.m. Cost: $2.25.
