PORT ANGELES — Dress-up days and games are planned each day at Port Angeles High School beginning Monday as the Roughriders celebrate homecoming week.
“Homecoming 2013: Riders Go Back to the Future, Riders through the Decades” will culminate in Friday’s homecoming game with Kingston High School at Civic Field at Fourth and Race streets and Saturday’s homecoming dance from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the gym at the high school at 304 E. Park Ave.
The theme of Monday’s dress-up day will be Would You Still Be My Friend If I Wore This . . . Day.
On Tuesday, each grade will dress in a way indicative of a particular decade: 12th, 1980s; 11th, ’20s; 10th, ’70s; and ninth, ’50s.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, a buff puff game will begin in the main high school gym. Donations for the food bank or the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society will be taken.
Wednesday will be Class Color Day, and a flag football and tug of war is planned at 7:30 p.m. at Elks Playfield at 526 W. 14th St., where donations also will be taken.
Thursday will be another dress-up day, called Throw Back Thursday.
Friday will be Green & White Spirit Day. It will begin with a morning assembly. At 5:30 p.m., the homecoming parade will start at the Clallam County Courthouse and march to Civic Field, where the game will start at 7 p.m.
Halftime entertainments will include performances by the high school’s marching band, cheer squad and dance team. Homecoming royalty and a carriage race will be featured.
