PORT TOWNSEND — Indiana Jones, Marilyn Monroe, Pee Wee Herman and the three Amigos roamed the halls of Jefferson General Hospital on Thursday as employees starred in a local celebration of National Hospital Week.
“Every year, there’s some kind of theme, like Hawaiian or Mexican,” said Patti Shaw, who has worked at the hospital for 15 years.
This year’s theme, “Hooray for Hollywood,” spotlighted a different movie genre each day of the week.
Employees donned facial hair for Mustache Monday, raincoats on Trenchcoat Tuesday and cowboy hats for Western Wednesday.
“Monday I was Groucho, Wednesday I was Clint Eastwood.” said Ramon Dailey, who works in the hospital’s Information Services department. “I dressed up every day except Tuesday — I didn’t have a trenchcoat.”
