PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Heritage Advisory Board is accepting applications for its 2020 historic preservation grants.
The grants are funded with a portion of document recording fees collected by the county auditor under the provisions of RCW 36, 22.170.
Applications are due by the close of business on Wednesday, March 4.
There will be an optional application workshop at 1 p.m. Wednesday for prospective applicants.
The workshop will be in county commissioners board room 160 in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St.
Applicants may also make a 5-minute presentation regarding their application at the March 4 meeting of the board.
According to the legislation, projects should “promote historical preservation or historical programs, which may include preservation of historic documents.”
Applicants may include public entities or non-profit tax exempt organizations who either operate or own a museum or similar historical institution within the boundaries of Clallam County.
