PORT ANGELES ¬– The Port Angeles Harbor-Works Development Authority Board of Directors voted unanimously today to hire Jeff Lincoln of the Port of Olympia as its first permanent executive director.
Lincoln, who is the Port of Olympia’s engineering director, will be paid $115,000 a year with a benefits package as the head of the public development authority.
Port of Olympia Executive Director Ed Galligan said Lincoln told him he will remain at his current job through the end of the month.
Galligan said Lincoln has supervised the environmental cleanup and redevelopment of six major projects, encompassing nearly 600 of acres of land, since he was hired nearly two years ago.
The job was budgeted at $144,000 a year.
