BEAVER — Lakeside Industries is bringing in counselors for employees who knew Lynette Marie Anderson of Beaver to help them cope with the loss of a friend and co-worker.
Anderson, 49, a flagger who had been with Lakeside Industries since 2006, was struck and killed at about 11:30 a.m. Monday by a construction dump truck on U.S. Highway 101 near Brinnon.
Mike Lee, president of Lakeside Industries, said the company is trying to figure out what happened and why.
“It is just such a tragedy,” he said from Issaquah on Tuesday.
Anderson has a grown son, Tyler Anderson of California, who was flying into town on Tuesday, said Annette Christian of Tacoma, who expressed shock about Anderson’s death.
Lakeside Industries, the State Patrol and Labor and Industries Departments are all investigating the death.
“This is an ongoing investigation, but it appears at this point that it was completely an accident,” said Trooper Krista Headstrom, State Patrol spokeswoman.
“What appears to have happened is that she was walking out behind the truck when he struck her.”
