PORT ANGELES — The Landing mall showed off its updated look with a celebration Friday.
The grand reopening was from 4 p.m. to midnight at the waterfront building at 115 E. Railroad Ave.
A reception for artist Clark Mundy, who adorned a spiral staircase with 21 copper fish— all swimming toward a seven-foot-high salmon sculpture on the second floor — was planned from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Mundy calls the artwork “The Gift.”
The shopping complex on has undergone a $1 million renovation.
That includes the installation of a new staircase, a major paint job — changing the palette from salmon to red, green and beige — and reconfiguration of the rental spaces, said Paul Cronauer, co-owner.
