Republicans in Clallam and Jefferson counties elected delegates to their county conventions during precinct caucuses Saturday.
The Clallam County Republican Party selected between 200 and 300 delegates for its April 10 convention, said Chairman Dick Pilling.
The Jefferson County Republican Party elected between 22 and 24 delegates to its March 13 convention, said Chairman Ron Gregory.
Delegates to the state convention — planned June 10-12 in Vancouver, Wash. — will be selected at the county conventions.
Clallam County Republicans conducted caucuses at the Port Angeles and Sequim high schools and the Forks Community Center, as well as an individual caucus for Bell Hill Precinct at a private homes.
Jefferson County Republicans had a pooled precinct caucus at the Tri-Area Community Center in Chimacum that was attended by about 35 people, Gregory said.
