Future of oceans
PORT TOWNSEND — Christopher Kelley will present “In Deeper Waters: Exploring Earth’s Largest, yet Least Understood, Biome” at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The free lecture, part of the Port Townsend Marine Science Center’s Future of Oceans series, will stream on the Zoom internet meeting platform.
Kelley recently retired to Port Townsend after 24 years on the graduate research faculty for the University of Hawaii’s department of oceanography and as a biologist for the Hawaii Undersea Research Laboratory.
Kelley will also discuss how remotely operated vehicles are providing new insights into the deep sea environment at a Deep Dive Conversation from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9.
