PORT ANGELES — Brides-to-be can make appointments now for one-on-one consultations with Moonlight Bridal wedding gowns designers during the Moonlight Bridal Trunk Show at Black Diamond Bridal this weekend.
The show at the business at 109 E. First St. in Port Angeles will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Those who visit the show will not only see a variety of wedding dresses, but also enjoy cake-tasting, flowers arrangement samples, catered hors d’oeuvres, coffee and champagne.
“Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will be with designers,” said Belva Bodey, owner of Black Diamond Bridal.
The designers from Moonlight Bridal, which is based in Los Angeles, are Stephanie and Val Stefani.
Moonlight Bridal is one of the fastest growing names in the wedding dress market, Bodey said.
“They have an outstanding reputation for elegant dresses in a variety of styles at reasonable price points,” she added.
Among their dresses is a replica of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge’s dress from last year’s royal wedding and the matching “Pippa” dress.
During the show, brides can try on dresses, talk to the designers and arrange to get customized alterations and embellishments made at the factory.
“This is a very special, extraordinary opportunity to work with these dress designers,” Bodey said.
The Moonlight designers will leave after noon on Saturday, but Black Diamond staff members will be available for consultation.
The two-day bridal show will showcase a preview of the spring 2012 collection as well as a sneak peek at the new fall 2012 styles.
Amy Matney of Dream Cakes will provide samples of wedding cake, and flowers from AngelCrest Gardens will be displayed.
Paulette Hill is catering the show.
