Free outdoor concert series kicks off in Sequim. (PA concert slated Wednesday. PT concerts begin in July)

SEQUIM — The Dukes of Dabob, a well-known local Dixieland jazz band, will perform at the outdoor James Center for the Performing Arts amphitheater at the Sequim Water Reuse Park, 563 N. Rhodefer Road just north of Carrie Blake Park, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

This free, family-friendly concert kicks off the city of Sequim’s Music in the Park series at the James Center every Tuesday at 6 p.m. through Aug. 27.

Bring a lawn chair or a blanket (seating is not provided) to the grassy expanse in front of the amphitheater, pack up a picnic dinner — and don’t forget your sunglasses if it’s sunny or a wool coat if there’s a cold breeze.

After this Tuesday’s opener, the schedule of Music in the Park concerts includes a diverse mix of bands plus a karaoke contest in August.

The lineup (all concerts are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.):
