PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles woman was flown to a Seattle hospital and three others were transported to Olympic Medical Center after a two-car crash at R Corner.
Mary J. Weber, 34, was traveling northbound in a 2000 Ford Excursion on Lewis Road at U.S. Highway 101 about 5:17 p.m. Sunday when she failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a 2004 Chevy K2500 pickup, the State Patrol said.
The Excursion came to rest in the parking lot at R Corner Grocery while the pickup blocked one of the westbound lanes on Highway 101, the State Patrol said.
Weber was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where her condition was unavailable Monday afternoon.
Two passengers in the Excursion, Maria E. Miller Bryant, 38, of Port Angeles and a 10-year-old Port Angeles girl, both were taken to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles.
Edward J. Little, 63, of Port Angeles, the driver of the pickup, also was transported to Olympic Medical Center.
All four people were wearing seat belts, the State Patrol said.
Both vehicles were totally destroyed, the State Patrol said.
