Port Angeles City Council candidates will appear at 7 p.m. today at City Hall in the second of three general election “Questions for Candidates”‘ campaign forums.
This week’s forums are sponsored by the PDN and Peninsula News Network and will be held at Port Angeles City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
The forums will be held at the City Council chambers, where plenty of public seating is available.
Peninsula News Network anchor Dennis Bragg will moderate the forums.
He will be joined at the forums by PDN Executive Editor Rex Wilson or PDN Commentary Page Editor Paul Gottlieb.
Featured at today’s and Thursday’s forums will be candidates vying for three positions on the Port Angeles City Council, two on the Port Angeles School Board and one each for the Port of Port Angeles commission and the Sequim Park and Recreation District 1 (SARC) board.
The candidates are on the Nov. 8 general election ballot.
Ballots go out today
Voters in Clallam and Jefferson counties will be mailed general election ballots today.
Both are all-mail-ballot elections. There is no voting at the polls.
Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 8 or dropped off at the Clallam County Courthouse or Jefferson County Courthouse by 8 p.m. Nov. 8.
The forums held today and Thursday will be broadcast on PNN on Wave Broadband cable Channel 3 through Oct. 26 and at yet-to-be-determined dates leading up to the general election.

* 7 p.m. today, Port Angeles City Hall council chambers: City Council Position 2 candidates Larry Williams and Cherie Kidd. Broadcast: 7 p.m. Thursday.
* 7:30 p.m. today, City Hall: City Council Position 3 candidates Karen Rogers and Jerry Morris. Broadcast: 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
* 8 p.m. today, City Hall: City Council Position 4 candidates Richard Headrick and Betsy Wharton. Broadcast: 7 p.m. Oct. 24.
* 8:30 p.m. today, City Hall: Port of Port Angeles District 2 candidates Leonard Beil and George Schoenfeldt. Broadcast: 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24.
* 7 p.m. Thursday, City Hall: Port Angeles School Board Position 3 candidates Lynn Geren and Patti Happe. Broadcast: 8 p.m. Oct. 25.
* 7:30 p.m. Thursday, City Hall: Port Angeles School Board Position 1 candidates Nancy McLaughlin and Richard Johnston. Broadcast: 8:30 p.m. Oct. 25.
* 8 p.m. Thursday, City Hall: Park and Recreation District 1 (SARC) Position 2, Terry Smithton and David McArthur. Broadcast: 7 p.m. Oct. 26.
