The American Red Cross Olympic Peninsula Chapter has established an emergency shelter in Forks for people affected by the flooding.
Anyone needing assistance is welcome at the shelter, at 651 E. Division St.
Donations of money, food, blankets and warm clothing are needed. Olympic Community Action Programs is establishing a donation fund that should be set up at Bank of America by Monday afternoon.
People wanted to make a donation can go to any Bank of America branch and designate funds to go into the Olympic Community Action West End Flood Relief 2003 fund or OlyCAP West End Flood Relief 2003.
Donations can also be mailed to any Bank of America branch, payable to the fund.
Family Planning of Clallam County, at 1106 E. First St., Port Angeles, will have a drop-off place for donations to the Quileute and Hoh tribes beginning Monday.
Mattresses, box springs and other furniture are needed. Most families saved clothing but were not able to get their furniture out.
