FORKS — Mayor Nedra Reed will make a decision soon about the fate of three Forks Police Department employees placed on paid administrative leave for undisclosed reasons on Jan. 28.
She said hearings for two of the three were held last Wednesday.
A personnel hearing for the third employee is scheduled for Tuesday.
Reed says she will decide the personnel cases sometime this week, probably late in the week, and will probably announce her decisions on each of the three at the same time.
Reed would not identify the employees. She also would not say why they were placed on leave.
“There are pending personnel issues, and they are confidential at this point,” Reed said in an earlier interview.
Peninsula Daily News has learned that the three placed on leave are Sgt. JoElle Munger, Sgt. Tom Scott and Communications Officer Deanna Dematteis.
Dematteis confirmed that she was placed on administrative leave but would not comment further.
Munger and Scott declined to say anything to the PDN.
