PORT ANGELES — A Forks man was arrested after police say he threatened to bomb a Port Angeles business.
Charles David Powell, 67, was booked into the Clallam County jail Wednesday on a warrant and for investigation of threats to bomb or injure property and felony telephone harassment.
Bail was set to $10,000 Thursday.
Arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 14 in Clallam County Superior Court.
A Port Angeles towing company received threats to burn the building and bomb the building, with the statement that “The Bandidos” would “systematically beat the employees one by one,” court documents said.
Employees told police they had taken numerous calls from Powell after the business towed his car following his arrest in another matter, the police narrative says.
The employee who called police said he didn’t know if the threats were serious but decided to report them because of the large number of calls the company had received, according to the police narrative.
