Forks: Gov. Locke visits Thursday

Gov. Gary Locke will visit with Forks various city, county and tribal officials from the West End during a half-day visit Thursday.

Press officials from the governor’s office are still working on a schedule, but said he is expected to arrive at Quillayute Airport at about 11:30 a.m.

The governor will attend an economic development roundtable discussion at noon. Following the discussion he will tour Forks High School and attend a districtwide assembly. Teachers, school administrators and the governor will begin an education and technology roundtable at about 2:30 p.m.

The governor will attend a walking tour of downtown Forks at about 3:20 p.m. and depart from the airport at about 4 p.m.
