Budget woes have prompted the city of Forks to restructure its economic development and eliminate one position, Mayor Nedra Reed announced Tuesday.
Effective Monday, the economic development director position will be eliminated, and the city treasurer, planner and mayor will assume economic development duties, Reed said.
Changes in the state budget will reduce the city’s revenues by almost $100,000 this year and $114,000 in 2003, Reed said.
