SEQUIM — A fire destroyed a garage on Woodcock Road last week.
No one was hurt, said Patrick Young, spokesman for Clallam County Fire District No. 3.
Sequim firefighters found the two-car detached garage at 3923 Woodcock Road fully engulfed in flames at 10:33 p.m. Thursday, Young said.
The cause of the fire had not been determined as of Friday.
The garage fire was so intense that the home within 30 feet of it was beginning to be damaged, Young said, so crews set up fire hoses to protect the home while attacking the flames in the garage.
The fire was extinguished within a half-hour, he said.
The rental home received minor damage to the rear exterior siding and windows, but the occupants were able to remain in the home, Young said.
The garage, its contents and a recreational vehicle next to the garage were a total loss, he added.
Fire crews remained throughout the night to mop up hot spots.
