The Port Townsend School Board will review the first draft of a resolution to place a $40,980,000 proposed bond on the Feb. 9 ballot when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.
The bond would fund construction of a new elementary school to replace Grant Street Elementary and make improvements at Port Townsend High School.
The board also will consider delaying demolition of the Lincoln Building to allow the Peninsula Housing Authority to conduct a feasibility study on possible uses of the building at 450 Fir St.
The board also will hear reports on the Maritime Discovery Schools initiative, collaboration with the Port Townsend Library and the curriculum committee.
It will consider action on policies concerning homeless students, non-resident students and bid requirements.
County commissioners
The three Jefferson County commissioners will interview candidates for the Lodging Tax Advisory Board at a meeting Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Those applying for the position will be interviewed in sequence beginning at 11 a.m. They are Cathy Barsukoff, Debbie Wardrop, Larry McKeehan, Bill Tennent and Joy Baisch.
The five are applying for three seats.
The committee recommends annual expenditures of lodging tax funds as well as advice on tourism development strategy.
Commissioners also will consider approving an annual fee for the county Noxious Weed Control Board.
The annual fee would be $4 per parcel plus 30 cents per acre of land not classified as forest.
Commissioners will consider a collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters Local 589 for the sheriff’s office administrative staff.
The old contract expired in December. The new contract would provide a 2.25 percent raise retroactive to January along with a lump sum of $950. Raises of 1 percent would be effect Jan. 1 and Jan. 1, 2017.

At 10:30 a.m., a hearing would be held on the establishment of a new fee schedule for the Department of Community Development.
At 11 a.m. would be a hearing on a civil fee schedule for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Other items on the consent agenda include:
â– A contract with Olympic Education Service District 114 to provide a school nurse to learn asthma care management.
â– An interlocal agreement to use $91,920 in state funds to support the North Pacific Coast Marine Resources Committee.
â– A $28,670 change order for Jefferson County jail fire alarm replacement.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on a proposed $51,361,084 budget for 2016 when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in chambers, 540 Water St.
Final adoption of the budget, which proposes revenues of $49,603,672, is expected in December.
The council also will conduct public hearings on a six-year capital facilities plan and supplemental appropriations for 2015. Both will be considered for adoption on a first reading. Final approval will be considered after a second reading.
The council also will consider authorizing a $500,000 interfund loan from the transmission line replacement fund to cover cost overruns on street projects, a contract for equipment and maintenance for city buildings, and a match for the Howard Street project.
It will consider a $25,298 contract with Jefferson Audio Video Systems Inc. of Louisville, Ky., for replacing equipment in council chambers and a $23,500 expenditure to upgrade software.
Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
City offices will be closed Wednesday for Veterans Day.
Other city committee meetings, which will be in conference rooms at 250 Madison St., are:
■Civil Service Commission — 2 p.m. Tuesday, second-floor conference room; special meeting to approve employment lists.
■Lodging Tax Advisory Committee — 3 p.m. Thursday, third-floor conference room; special meeting to discuss proposed 2016 budget.
Port of Port Townsend
The Port of Port Townsend commission will conduct its second public hearing on the proposed 2016 operating budget when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. in chambers, 333 Benedict St. It will be preceded by a 9:30 a.m. workshop on the budget.
