EYE ON JEFFERSON: County consider comprehensive plan amendments docket

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider acting on the final docket for the April 19 hearing on amendments to the planning commission’s 2020 comprehensive plan when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Commissioners also will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Tom Locke, county health officer; receive a briefing on issues related to the Paradise Bay Water District; and discuss an invitation from the city of Seattle to sign a letter requesting statewide support for devoting a significant portion of the American Rescue Plan Act funding to homeless and housing services.

Items on the consent agenda include a hearing notice for first quarter appropriations for the 2021 budget, an agreement regarding the purchase and sale of property at Seventh and Hendricks streets and an agreement for executive search services.

Conservation Futures

The Jefferson County Conservation Futures Citizen Oversight Committee will hear a funding cycle review and presentations on the 2021 projects during a special meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Projects include Big Quilcene/Moon Valley acquisitions, Camp Discovery Creek acquisition, Hannan Farm, Quimper Wildlife corridor and Schmidt Farm.
