The three Jefferson County commissioners will conduct a public hearing on the disposal of surplus property when they meet today.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Proposed surplus property includes equipment from several county departments including solid waste, public works, roads and parks, and the Sheriff’s Office.
The items are expected to be put up for auction, with minimal revenue expected.
Commissioners also will consider approving a change order on the Paradise Bay Road Phase II project to pay for an additional drainage culvert and cover a price increase for landscaping bark and plants.
The change would bring the total cost of the project to $1,084,200.
They will consider an agreement to allocate grants from lodging tax to Quilcene/Brinnon Dollars for Scholars in the amount of $2,415 and to the Forks Chamber of Commerce, $3,766.
They also will consider proclaiming September as childhood cancer awareness month and this week as Jefferson County Employee Recognition Week.
During a 1:30 p.m. briefing, commissioners will continue to discuss countywide planning policies.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend Planning Commission will continue its assessment of the proposed comprehensive plan when it meets Thursday.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in City Council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The commission is not expected to take action.
The Port Townsend City Council does not meet this week.
Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall.

■Parks, Recreation and Trees Advisory Board — 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, first-floor conference room.

Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners will consider final approval of a 2016 budget and capital facilities plan when they meet Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 333 Benedict St.
They will hear a report on consolidation of port bank accounts.
They will consider permitting Washington State Parks access to stabilize the Fort Worden bluff. The project, which would begin in about six months, would include reconstructing the stairs from the bluff to the port’s beach.
Commissioners will discuss a proposal for a personnel survey.
Public development authority
The Fort Worden Lifelong Learning Center Public Development Authority board will discuss Building 305 design Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at Fort Worden Commons.
Chimacum schools
The Chimacum School Board will review test scores when it meets Wednesday.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the library at the high school at 91 West Valley Road.
It also will hear reports on facilities and from the student director and YMCA.
