Clallam County commissioners will discuss a resolution supporting a proposed Dungeness River off-channel reservoir project at 9 a.m. Monday.
The work session will be in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The proposed reservoir southwest of Sequim would provide more water for irrigators and fish in the late summer and early fall when the Dungeness River often runs low.
Other scheduled discussion items for the work session include:
• A grant application to the state Department of Ecology to fund improvements to the Agnew Irrigation District’s outtake facility on McDonald Creek.
• An agreement with the state Military Department for a Homeland Security grant to fund a Sheriff’s Office emergency management program coordinator position.
• Expectations for the special deputy prosecuting attorney in an advisory role for the Board of County Commissioners.
• The Washington State Association of Counties’ 2019 legislative priorities.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• Recognizing Jim Jones for his service as Clallam County Administrator from 2006 to 2018.
• A proclamation recognizing Pro Bono Law Week.
• A letter to Governor Jay Inslee to encourage full funding of salmon recovery and fish passage projects.
• A call for bids for an Information Technology data center cooling improvement project.
• A state Recreation and Conservation Office grant for the Forks off-road vehicle Calawah River bridge and trail project.
• A public hearing on proposed amendments to the county policy for classification, work hours and compensation.
• Two public hearings on proposed amendments to the county’s comprehensive plan and zoning maps.
Clallam Bay/Sekiu
Clallam County commissioners will meet with Clallam Bay/Sekiu community members at 5 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at the Sekiu Community Center.
Agenda items include the state Department of Fish and Wildlife boat launch, an update on the Clallam Bay/Sekiu sewer and a presentation on the proposed 2019 county budget and Transporation Improvement Program.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council will hold a work session to review the proposed 2019 budget at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The special meeting will be in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth.
Sequim city
The Sequim City Council will conduct public hearings on year-end budget amendments and comprehensive plan amendments when it meets at 5 p.m. Modnay.
The council will meet at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.
It will hear about a salary survey and consider the Dungeness Off-Channel Reservoir and the city’s legislative agenda
Forks city
The Forks City Council will discuss a county-wide planning policy at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
Other agenda items include interim financing bank terms for a reservoir rehabilitation project, a third-quarter actual to budget financial report and customary business.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will review the preliminary operating budget for 2019 when they meet at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The special meeting will be at the port administration building, 338 W. First St.
Commissioners also will consider a proposed lease for North Olympic Development Council and an Arrow Marine Lease performance security review.
Crescent schools
The Crescent School Board will consider approving the Highly Capable Program when it meets at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The board will meet at the library at the school at 50350 state Highway 112.
The board also will consider test scores, a Halloween carnival, immunizations and a visit from state legislators.
Library system
The North Olympic Library System board of trustees will conduct a public hearing on the draft 2019 budget when they meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
The proposed 2019 budget is $4,501,794. The budget for 2018 was $4,368,570.

NOLS oversees public libraries in Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks and Clallam Bay.
Public Utility District
There will be no meeting of the Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners Monday due to staff training.
