Ex-Camp Fire USA director accused of stealing $7,217

PORT ANGELES — The former director of a youth club alleged to have stolen funds from the organization was charged last week with first-degree theft and two counts of forgery.

Teresa Lee Rodocker, 44, of Port Angeles allegedly stole $7,217 from the Camp Fire USA Juan de Fuca Council by writing checks to herself.

Charges were filed Aug. 20 in Clallam County Superior Court.

On one check, which was for $2,500, the notation simply said “bonus” even though the club’s board had not given her a bonus, court documents said.

Rodocker also allegedly used club funds to pay for plumbing work at her home and cigarettes, court documents said.

Rodocker allegedly wrote eight checks to herself between July 2009 and the end of the year. On two, she allegedly forged the signature of others associated with the club, court documents said.

She was fired as director of the club in March.

Rodocker received a $40,000 salary.

Her next court appearance is Sept. 30.

The club, based in Port Angeles, hosts youth programs and a camp at Camp David Jr., located at Lake Crescent.

First-degree theft is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Forgery is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
