‘Harvey’ will disappear this weekend
SEQUIM — Olympic Theatre Arts is presenting the Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Harvey” in three final performances this weekend.
Show times for “Harvey” are 7:30 tonight and Saturday and finally at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets range from $10 to $16.
David McInnes stars as Elwood Dowd, a kind man who happens to have an invisible friend: Harvey, a 6-foot-tall white rabbit.
Elwood’s family can’t abide this, so they try to have him committed to a sanitarium.
What follows is the comedy also starring Elaine Caldwell, Brian Coughenour, Debbie and Brice Embree, Miles and Lily Carignan and Cheryl and Nick DiPietro, all under the direction of Olivia Shea.

‘Salome’ swan song
PORT ANGELES — “Salome,” Oscar Wilde’s story of politics, revenge and dance, is on stage at Peninsula College just twice more: tonight and Saturday.
Lauren Jeffries-Johnson of the Shula Azhar dance troupe created the choreography while Richard Stephens and Peninsula College drama professor Lara Starcevich direct.
Curtain time is 7:30 tonight and Saturday.
Tickets are $12 for the general public, $10 for seniors and free to Peninsula College students at the door of the Little Theater at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
“Salome” contains mature themes and is not suitable for children.

‘Nutcracker’ set
PORT ANGELES — Tickets are on sale now for the Juan de Fuca Foundation’s “The Nutcracker” with the Northwest Ballet Theatre.
The Nutcracker will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Port Angeles High School auditorium, 304 E. Park Ave.
Tickets range from $15 to $35, with youth 14 and younger admitted for $10.
They can be purchased online at www.jffa.org and at Port Book and News in Port Angeles and Joyful Noise Music in Sequim.
In addition to the large Northwest Ballet Theatre cast from Bellingham, this production will feature more than 40 dancers from Sequim Ballet, Aspire Academy, Port Angeles Dance Center and Ballet Workshop.
Young artists
PORT ANGELES — Applications are due Dec. 1 for the Port Angeles Symphony’s Young Artist Competitions.
The two contests, which will be at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez Ave., are open to North Olympic Peninsula music students younger than 22.
Prizes totaling $1,250 will be awarded.

‘Small Expressions’
PORT TOWNSEND — The Northwind Arts Center is inviting artists to enter the “Small Expressions” show which will open Dec. 5.
The show will be at the center’s new place in the Waterman-Katz Building, 701 Water St.
Submissions can be made between 4 p.m. and
6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1.
