HAVE YOU CAPTURED an incredible lavender picture?
An expansive purple field in Sequim? A family meandering among the flowers? The majestic Olympic Mountains and a glorious purple field?
In honor of Sequim Lavender Weekend, and the Sequim-Dungeness Valley’s family-owned lavender farms, our Lavender Photo Contest is an opportunity to showcase your incredible photo — and win prizes.
How to enter
Entering is easy. Go to: http://pdn.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=180813.
You can also enter by going to www.peninsuladailynews.com and look for the “Lavender Photo Contest” button in the middle of the webpage (below “Hot Links” and just left of “Peninsula Poll”).
Follow the instructions for registering — it will only take a minute — then post your photo. (Please remember to include your city and state!)
The seven winning photos — determined by online voting — will receive prizes from area sponsors: Broker’s Group, Clallam County Fair, Fiesta Jalisco, First Federal, Purple Haze, Olympic Game Farm and Wilder Auto.

The contest is free, but only residents of Clallam County or Jefferson County can enter. And you must be age 13 or older. Parents may submit photos taken by their children younger than 13.
All entries must be submitted on the web — sorry, no entries by mail or in person.
The deadline for entries is Monday, July 20, at 11:59 p.m., after which the public in online voting will determine who will receive prizes from our contest sponsors.
