PORT ANGELES — Lower Elwha Klallam tribal representatives and city officials will discuss Monday whether the tribe should be charged the residential or industrial rate for hooking up to the city’s sewer system.
The Elwha have proposed building a two-mile-long connection to the city’s sewer system. The tribe is seeking an alternative to septic systems because removal of the Elwha River dams will raise groundwater levels on their reservation.
