IT’S ELECTION DAY in Jefferson and Clallam counties and around the state.
Peninsula Daily News will be with the candidates at the two county courthouses and will be posting stories on the contested races after 8 p.m. and through the evening.

There will be one set of results reported tonight for Jefferson and Clallam counties, based on ballots that have been verified and readied for computer-counting shortly after 8 p.m.
Mail-in ballots that arrive Wednesday through Friday in both counties will be tabulated and reported on Friday.
The state numbers will be updated through the evening as various counties report.
