With water cannons spraying, the cutter Adelie proudly cruised into Port Angeles on Tuesday, taking its place as the Coast Guard’s second high-speed patrol boat on the North Olympic Peninsula.
The Marine Protector Class vessel was greeted at the dock by cheering Coast Guard Group Port Angeles personnel.
Group Commander Capt. Bill Peterson was also present to welcome the vessel to its new home at Ediz Hook.
The docking concluded a monthlong journey from the Gulf of Mexico coast via the Panama Canal.
