PORT ANGELES — Two workshops on cultural diversity are being offered by Peninsula College for owners and employees of restaurants and other businesses in Jeferson and Clallam counties.
There is no charge.
Enrollment is limited to 20 persons in each of the two-hour sessions. As of Wednesday, 11 persons had signed up.
Both workshops will include exercises to help participants understand their own racial and cultural biases so they can effectively deal with customers and co-workers from different backgrounds.
A business owner can also develop a plan to insure fair treatment of employees and customers and create more effective work teams.
The workshops will be held in Room A-12 at the college from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 16, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 2.
