PORT ANGELES –Volunteers and contributors with the 2001 United Way of Clallam County campaign were honored during an awards banquet Thursday night.
Agency officials also announced the 2001 campaign has raised $802,531 — 97 percent of their $825,000 goal.
Dee Christensen, 2001 United Way campaign chairwoman, said she expects the agency to raise more than that amount by March 31, the official end of the drive. Last year, about $875,000 was raised.
About 150 people attended the awards dinner and the preceding social hour.
