Clallam: Sequim’s Bennett will face off against Rep. Norm Dicks

Libertarian John A. Bennett of Sequim has filed to oppose incumbent Norm Dicks, D-Belfair, in the race to represent the 6th Congressional District.

Bennett also ran against Dicks in 2000, capturing 4.1 percent of the overall vote to Dicks’ 64.7 percent.

In Clallam County, two candidates have filed to oppose Hugh Haffner of Port Angeles for his District 2 seat on the Clallam County Public Utility District Board of Commissioners. They are Terry Roth and Bill Roberds, both of Port Angeles.

Candidate filing ends today (Friday) at 4:30 p.m. at the Clallam County Auditor’s Office in the County Courthouse in Port Angeles.
