Two school districts in Clallam County are encouraging residents to return mail-in ballots today for school levy elections.
The elections will decide tax levies for day-to-day maintenance and operational needs of the Sequim and Cape Flattery school districts.
“We hope that people who were planning on mailing their ballots will do so today,” said Annette Hanson, Sequim School District resource and information coordinator.
“We are hoping that people are concerned about the schools and interested in the community and will get their ballots in.”
Voters have until 5 p.m., when post offices close, for ballots to be postmarked.
Both districts need 60 percent overall support to get their respective levy passed.
