PORT ANGELES — Prosecutors have extended a plea offer to Mary Kristine Kniskern, charged in Clallam County Superior Court with vehicular homicide in the deaths of three people during a car crash New Year’s Eve on Palo Alto Road near Sequim.
Kniskern, 26, of Diamond Point was charged in April with three counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular assault stemming from the crash.
According to the agreement, prosecutors will recommend a sentence of 10½ years and $10,500 in fees if Kniskern pleads guilty as charged.
The standard sentencing range is nine to 12 years.
The offer is open until July 29.
