Lower Dam Road will stay closed through Feb. 8 to allow Paramount Pictures to finishing filming the final scene of “The Hunted,”‘ starring Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro.
Clallam County commissioners approved the extended closure Tuesday.
Commissioners had previously approved closing the road for six days during the last two weeks of January but the production ran into “unexpected delays.”
Olympic National Park officials working with the movie company also cited inclement weather.
The road is closed from state Highway 112 to Elwha Dam. Federal Bureau of Reclamation employees and emergency vehicles are allowed access.
