PORT ANGELES — Business leaders will welcome the MV Coho back to the city with a party this morning.
And they are inviting the public to join them for coffee and doughnuts.
The “Welcome Back the Coho”‘ party will be at 8 a.m. in the ferry’s new terminal building, 101 E. Railroad Ave., said Port Angeles Business Association Program Chairman Carol Griffith, owner of the Port Angeles Inn.
Admission to the party is free, Griffith said. But residents traveling on the ferry to Victoria will still have to buy a ticket.
Today marks the day the MV Coho resumes service after two weeks of annual maintenance at Todd Shipyards in Seattle.
The ferry will make one round-trip daily to Victoria — departing at 8:20 a.m. and returning at 4 p.m. — through Feb. 13.
