Clallam County will conduct a systems-wide upgrade to its phone systems starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
As a result of this upgrade, all business lines, including non-emergency phone lines to Sheriff’s Dispatch and the Clallam County Jail, will be down.
The outage is expected to last until approximately midnight Tuesday.
The 9-1-1 emergency phone lines will not be affected.
Two temporary non-emergency phone lines have been established for reporting crimes or contacting sheriff’s deputies during the outage.
The two numbers are (360) 452-4545 and (360) 452-4546.
