PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles and Clallam County employees will gather Tuesday morning for a 45-minute ceremony in remembrance of those who died in the terrorist attacks in Washington, D.C., and New York City last week.
The event will take place at 8:15 a.m. at the entrance of the Port Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, office, adjacent to the Vern Burton Community Center at 308 E. Fourth St.
City Hall and the Clallam County Courthouse will be closed for the 45-minute ceremony, which includes the Clallam County Honor Guard, a welcome by County Commissioner Mike Doherty, and Port Angeles Mayor Larry Doyle, words and prayers by local clergy and a song by Linda Roening.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
